Annamalai
Imayam (pen name of   V. Annamalai) is a prominent and well-known Indian novelist writing in Tamil. He wrote five novels, five short story collections and a novella. Imayam had his college education at Periyar E.V.R. College, Tiruchirappalli, where S. Albert, a Professor from Trichy, ‘opened the door to the world’ for him. His first novel Koveru Kazhuthaigal (Beasts of Burden) created heated debates on issues like the role of a Dalit writer in the context of oppression of the Dalit community. The book won Imayam many awards, including Agni Akshara Award, Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Forum Award (1994) and Amudhan Adigal Ilakkiya Award for Literature (1998).

V. Ravi Kumar an engineer by profession, he gave up his position as Project Engineer at M/S Larsen & Toubro to serve society working with the youth of Gujarat and in the tribal areas of Maharastra. He has conducted more than 200 Yoga camps in 40 countries. Currently serving as the International Joint Coordinator of the Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh and Advisor to the Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra, Mumbai, he has authored many books on related subjects, which have been translated into several Indian languages.

In that position, she was invited (during the 1980s) as a UN Fellow, to Bangkok, New York, Nairobi, and Vienna by UN Council for Namibia, UN Commission on South Africa, UN International Decade for Women, and UN Council for Namibia respectively. She has travelled to various parts of the world to teach and present papers on Leisure Studies, as also on Pilgrimage Tourism. She has, all along, had an abiding interest in Vedanta. Currently, she lives in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

Vijay Sharma Vijay Sharma is an art historian and art critic. He is widely recognised as a fine miniature painter and has travelled extensively in India and abroad, giving lecture demonstrations on the techniques of Pahari painting.His keen interest in riti genre of Hindi poetry and Indian classical music helps him understand the nuances of Ragamala paintings. He has co-authored several books and research articles, the notable ones being The Temple of Devi-Kothi; Love for Pleasure; Vision of an Enlightened King (ed.); Pahari Paintings of an Ancient Romance: The Love Story of Usha-Aniruddha and Painted Words: Kangra Paintings of Matiram’s Rasraj. He founded The Heritage Photography Club in 2010 and later started Heritage Talks, which grew into large-scale heritage promotion campaigns under his Youth for Heritage Foundation. Vinod Pande has walked many a path. A civil servant with the British Government, a broadcaster with the BBC, the maker of several documentaries and ad-films, he helmed one of the popular TV networks launched during the late nineties and ran his own advertising agency in London. After his foray into Bollywood, he was a member of the jury for important award ceremonies and chaired the selection committees of the Indian entry for the Oscar Awards on two occasions. He is, however, most well-known as the producer, writer and director of the Hindi film Ek Baar Phir; and other notable ones like Yeh Nazdeekiyan and Sins; and acclaimed TV serials Air Hostess and Reporter. He lives and works as a filmmaker and author in Mumbai. After Don’s Wife, a story on forbidden love, born in the crucible of crime, this is his second novel. His next novel, Destiny, is to be published soon.

Mathur Vinoo Mathur was actively involved with the proposal for the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai, being inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 and instrumental in initiating the proposal for the inclusion of the Kalka-Shimla Railway in the ‘Mountain Railways of India’, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He has worked for the Indian Railways from 1971 to 2008 in various capacities, including Divisional Railway Manager, Dhanbad; Secretary, Railway Board and General Manager, Northern Railway. He retired as Member Traffic on the Railway Board. Post-retirement, he is an Advisor to Japanese consultants working on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Railway project.

Vipul B. Varshney is a multi-talented architect, whose portfolio covers a wide range of projects in India as well as Mauritius. She has designed and executed some of India’s most renowned projects—from a township outside Mumbai for an urban diaspora to public buildings and hospitals. She is Convenor–INTACH, Lucknow chapter; Adviser, National Scientific committee ICOMOS, India; and an avid lover of the fine arts and India’s rich heritage. She has also been a visiting faculty at her alma mater and Professor-Design Chair at Integral University, Lucknow. She is the recipient of many awards including U.P. Ratan 2013, Ganj Carnival Award—Shakti Samman 2015, Heritage Award 2016 from U.P. Government, Hindustan Times Women Achiever’s Award—2013 nominee and A3 Foundation–Excellence in Architectural Journalism 2016.

VR Devika VR Devika is a well-known story teller, educationist and Gandhi scholar, with a PhD on MK Gandhi’s communication strategies. She is known as a cultural activist, having been associated with the inception of Chennai’s Dakshinachitra Heritage Museum and Tamil Nadu INTACH. Trained in Bharatanatyam, she lectures on dance and cultural heritage. Winner of several awards, Devika contributes frequently to leading publications in India and abroad.
