She is an NID film alumna, and her short film, THE FLYMAN, travelled across the globe to over 15 leading international film festivals and won the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the Boston International Kids Film Festival. Roopal is also the author of her climate fiction book, THE LITTLE RAINMAKER, that was among the Top 20 across the world in the Times Chickenhouse Competition, London, and is on the World Kid List on Climate, Environment, and Sustainability, among other leading international titles. Rosemary Crill Rosemary Crill was formerly Senior Curator for South Asia at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, where she was a curator for 36 years. Specialising in Indian textiles and painting, she has published and lectured extensively in both areas. Her books include Indian Embroidery, Marwar Painting, Indian Ikat Textiles, Chintz: Indian Textiles for the West and The Fabric of India, which accompanied a major exhibition at the V&A in 2015-16. Her latest book, co-authored with Shilpa Shah, is The Shoemaker’s Stitch. Mochi Embroideries of Gujarat in the TAPI Collection (2022).

The Indian Council for Child Education has recognised his role in the growth of children’s literature in India. He was awarded the Sahitya Academy Award in 1992 for Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra, his novel in English. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2014.

Ruth Whitehouse Ruth Whitehouse was a professional violinist before completing a PhD in Modern Turkish Literature at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She participated in the Cunda International Workshop for Translators of Turkish Literature in Turkey (2009-2012). Her published translations include: Ali and Ramazan by Perihan Ma?den, The Last Tram by Nedim Gürsel, Hotel Bosphorus and Bakhsheesh by Esmahan Akyol and a number of short stories in different anthologies.
