Anjali Karolia
Dr. Anjali Karolia, holding a PhD degree, serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara. She has held various significant positions during her career, including the former Head of the Department of Clothing and Textiles from 2009 to 2017. Dr. Karolia was also instrumental in establishing the Institute of Fashion Technology at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. With a career spanning over 36 years, marked by extensive research and teaching, Dr. Karolia has received a total of 8 fellowships and awards in recognition of her contributions. Among her notable achievements, she was honored with the Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Lecturer fellowship, which led her to be affiliated with the Department of Textiles, Apparel, and Design at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. During her tenure, she served as the primary instructor for a graduate course titled 'Indian Textiles and Costumes—Perspectives and Potential.' Dr. Anjali Karolia's scholarly work is evident through her publication record, which includes over 75 research papers published in internationally and nationally renowned research journals. Her research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including natural dyes and printing, minor fibers, value addition, product diversification, and traditional textiles and costumes. Her dedication to these areas has made her a prominent figure in the field of textiles and fashion studies.
