Dr. Werner Meyer, a distinguished archaeologist, holds the position of Professor Emeritus of Medieval Studies at the University of Basel, Switzerland. He has been the foremost authority on the archaeology of medieval fortifications in Switzerland since the 1960s. Dr. Meyer has an extensive publication record in the fields of cultural history and Middle Ages archaeology.
