Usharanjan Bhattacharya is a distinguished scholar
of Bengali literature and former Professor and Dean
at Gauhati University. Renowned in Tagore studies
and translation, he has written on childhood, travel,
and women’s studies. His honours include the Sahitya
Akademi Translation Prize and Asiatic Society
Gold Medal.
