Ramlal Sinha
Ramlal Sinha is a veteran journalist and writer from India’s North-East, with a long professional association with regional English-language journalism and indigenous literary traditions. He has served as Associate Editor with The Seven Sisters Post and The Sentinel in Assam, two publications that have played an important role in documenting political, social, and cultural life in the North-Eastern states. Sinha began his career in journalism with a four-year stint at The Newsfront in Guwahati, where he developed his grounding in reporting, editing, and public-interest writing. Over the years, his work has reflected a sustained engagement with regional affairs, minority voices, and the complexities of life in the North-East. Alongside his journalistic career, Ramlal Sinha has been deeply involved in literary work in Bishnupriya Manipuri, a language and cultural tradition of the region. He is committed to nurturing and presenting creative writing in this language, helping preserve and extend its literary heritage through both original and editorial contributions.
