Lakshmi Kannan, aka ‘Kaaveri’, is a bilingual writer
and poet, with over 27 publications in Tamil and
English. She has published 2 novels, multiple collections
of poems and short stories, as well as literary criticism.
She has been an associate professor of English at Delhi
University colleges and IIT, Delhi, before she joined
an MNC as a Senior Writer and Language Coordinator. She was a
Resident Writer at International Writing Program, Iowa; Visiting
Writer under the Charles Wallace Trust Fellowship at University of
Kent, Canterbury; Sahitya Akademi Writer attached to Jamia Millia
Islamia, New Delhi and Fellow at IIAS, Shimla. She has won the
Ilakkiya Chintanai Award for short fiction in Tamil and the Katha
Award for Translation
