Dr. Lakshmi Nandan Bora, a professional agro-meteorologist, has established himself as a prolific author in addition to his scientific career. He has authored a total of twenty-nine novels and twenty-six short story collections, some of which have enjoyed bestseller status for several years. Dr. Bora's literary achievements have earned him prestigious accolades, including the 'Saraswati Samman' in 2008, the 'Sahitya Akademi Award' in 1988, and the 'Assam Valley Literary Award' in 2004.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Dr. Lakshmi Nandan Bora has an academic background as a former professor of physics and agro-meteorology. He has also held the position of chairman of the Assam Pollution Control Board. Currently, he serves as the editor of the widely circulated Assamese weekly publication, "Goriyoshi."
