Hemasri Chaudhuri started her musical training with her grandfather and later, her father Dr Sarbananda Chaudhuri.
She was blessed by Pt. Birju Maharaj. In 2023, she received the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme in Kathak from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is a student at Patha Bhavan, Kolkata.
