Eda Ertekin Toksoz

Eda Ertekin Toksöz is an illustrator and animator based in Istanbul, Turkey, whose work focuses on visual storytelling for children’s books and magazines. Trained in animation and illustration, she combines character-driven drawing with expressive colour and playful composition, creating images that speak directly to young readers. Her professional practice spans both print and animated media, allowing her to move fluidly between static illustration and narrative motion. Through this hybrid background, she brings a strong sense of timing, gesture, and visual rhythm to her book illustrations, giving characters a sense of personality and emotional presence. Toksöz’s creative work is centred on childhood imagination, everyday wonder, and humour. Her illustrations often explore the small, meaningful details of children’s lives, translating them into engaging visual narratives that encourage curiosity and creative thinking.
