Biman Arandhara

Biman Arandhara is a journalist and translator based in Assam, associated with The Assam Tribune. He is widely regarded for his extensive work in translating Indian literature into English, helping regional voices reach a wider readership. Over the course of his literary career, he has translated more than sixty short stories, three novels - including Kayakalpa - as well as biographies and a wide range of literary and cultural essays. His work spans fiction, life writing, and contemporary commentary, reflecting a deep engagement with Assamese and Indian literary traditions. Through both journalism and translation, Arandhara has made a sustained contribution to preserving and sharing important works of Indian writing across languages and audiences.
