Jean Webster, whose real name was Alice Jane Chandler Webster (1876–1916), was a notable author best known for her works, including "Daddy-Long-Legs" and "Dear Enemy." In addition to her literary success, Jean Webster was actively engaged in advocating for social causes. She championed reforms for orphanages, the promotion of adoption, women's education, and women's right to vote.
