I stopped, I was touched, I was transformed, I photographed this with my everyday telephone. These were no studio images, but much more than that, they were flashes of the ananda of my atman, images that found a treasured place in the aesthetic spaces of my mind, they
were little flames that lit my path going forward, it was like the light of purnima on a dark night, it was as if the boat, I was in reached the other shore. No longer was my world banal, ordinary, artless, ugly, or just a rat race; but full of little treasures to be photographed,
savoured, treasured and deeply understood, moments to drench my tired mind with rain drops of pleasure, dulcet sounds to calm my agitated mind. These unrehearsed simple moments spoke to me of the mystery of beauty which I had missed when I was running around.
The result is this little book, simple, unpretentious, a pillow book. Make it your friend, spend a few moments with it when Time and Space evade you. It has become my friend. It made time stop for me and in that brief moment I found myself. It is said that sudden moments of delight are expressions of the atman. This is the closest I hope to be near my atman in my journey. The world waited for me while I was with myself, mortal as I am. I hope you seek and find these moments in your harried life. The world will wait for you as well.
