Joanne Taylor

Joanne Taylor is a Sydney-based scholar, writer and photographer with a passion for Indian architecture and culture. She has written for numerous publications, studied Indian history at the University of Sydney. She first visited India in 1971. By turning the lens to a neglected aspect of colonial Calcutta, she has captured the city’s ‘Great Houses’ as they are today and has also done a thesis on these mansions for the University of New South Wales.
