Abanindranath Tagore (1871-1951) was an artist and writer from the renowned Tagore family and a nephew of Rabindranath Tagore. He was the key figure behind the Bengal School of Art and introduced a unique Swadeshi style at a time when contemporary India primarily emulated Western art. Abanindranath revitalized Rajput and Mughal art, creating ethereal watercolors. His later works also integrated Chinese and Japanese influences. He held the position of Bageswari Professor of Oriental Art at Calcutta University and his writings and lectures on art continue to be influential in art theory and practice. In addition to his contributions to art, Abanindranath authored literary works cherished by both children and adults, such as "Buro Angla," "Khirer Putul," "Bhoot-Potrir Deshe," "Nalak," and "Raj Kahini." His writings are characterized by whimsical imagination and his ability to vividly depict scenes with words.

Retiring from a multinational and a subsequent HR consultancy, Abhijit Gupta submitted to a lifelong desire to write, creating a novel influenced by the three eventful years he spent getting his second degree at the London School of Economics, having obtained his first degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi. In those years he found a new intellectual and emotional liberation and grew to love London for it. While at the LSE, he also captained the fencing team. A passion for travel has taken him and his wife all over the world. Unable to follow tourist itineraries, his idea of bliss is to sit with a glass of wine in a tree-shaded square in Barcelona and watch the world go by. Or wander through his beloved forests and hills in India. Two of his travel articles were published in the Economic Times and the Business Line respectively. He loves to paint, write and read, often while listening to music. That is when the boisterous grandchildren and children are not visiting. Achala Moulik, born in Calcutta in a family of scholars and diplomats, went to schools in Washington, New York, and London, where her father Moni Moulik was posted on diplomatic assignments. She graduated in Economics, Political Science, International History, and Law from London University. Thereafter, she studied Italian Renaissance in Rome. Her civil servant and writer husband Mohandas Moses encouraged her literary endeavors. After graduation, Achala joined the Indian Administrative Service. She has worked in various capacities, among them as Education Secretary, Government of India when the national education program 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan' was formulated and as Director-General, Archaeological Survey of India. She has published books on international relations, political and cultural history, along with biographies on Tagore and Tolstoy, four acclaimed novels, and a collection of poetry. Her play 'Pushkin's Last Poem' was staged in Moscow and Petersburg to a standing ovation. For her contribution to Russian history and literature, Achala received the Sergei Yesenin Prize and the prestigious Pushkin Medal from the Russian President.

Dr. Alka Pande, Curator and Art Consultant and Artistic Director, Photosphere, is currently the Consultant Arts Advisor and Curator at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. She completed her post-doctoral studies from Goldsmiths College, University of the Arts, London, in Critical Art Theory, under the aegis of the Charles Wallace India Trust. Her PhD was in the History of Art, on the concept of Ardhanarisvara in Indian Art with special emphasis on sculpture. She has been passionately involved with the world of art for nearly three-and-a-half decades. Dr. Pande is responsible for curating several significant and perceptive exhibitions in India and abroad, notably a singular exhibition at the Pinacothèque de Paris titled, 'The Kama-Sutra: Spirituality and Eroticism in Indian Art'. In 2006, she was awarded the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres or Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters—an award bequeathed by the French Government. In 2009, she received the Australian Asia Council Special Award. She then went on to receive the Amrita Shergill Samman from the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi in 2014, for her contribution to the arts.

His remarkable understanding of 19th-century Bengali theatre is documented in his pioneering work in Bengali, "Kolkatae Videshi Rangalay." He shared a close friendship with Sisir Kumar Bhaduri, and his series of articles on Bhaduri are noteworthy. Additionally, Mitra wrote scholarly articles on Rabindranath Tagore, leading to the publication of an expanded version by the Tagore Research Institute. Anil Dey, an engineer by profession, has dedicated over 60 years of his life to the study of temples in Odisha, a pursuit that he is deeply passionate about. Beyond his scholarly endeavors, Mr. Dey is an enthusiastic traveler, especially in the Himalayas, and has authored five travelogues along with numerous short stories and articles. He has also held the position of Professor-in-Charge at IIT Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar Campus, and was Vice President of the Indian Road Congress. Anita Bharat Shah obtained her PhD from Osmania University, in 1994. She has been active in the Museology Committee (ICOFOM) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 1987 and served many years on its Executive Board.Dr Shah has taught at several universities abroad as a visiting faculty of Museology. She has previously authored Visitors to South Indian Museums: Museological Context and Visitor Study as well as published extensively in the museological journal ICOFOM Study Series.She has conducted extensive research on kalamkari, Deccani and Rajasthani paintings and pichvais from 2013 to 2022. An avid collector of Indian textiles and art objects, she has organized many exhibitions, including a special display of Ancient Indian Textiles for Queen Elizabeth during her visit to Hyderabad in 1983. She and her husband Bharat Shah, creators of the AABHA collection, organized an exhibition titled ‘Threads of Devotion’ showcasing embroidered pichvais from Kutch and Rajasthan of the early 19th to mid-20th centuries at the Nirmala Birla Modern Art Museum, Hyderabad, in 2021. She lives with her family in Hyderabad.

Professor Anna L. Dallapiccola holds a Ph.D. in Indian Art History and a Habilitation (D.Litt.) from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She served as a Professor of Indian Art at the South Asia Institute of Heidelberg University from 1971 to 1995. In 1991, she was appointed as an Honorary Professor at Edinburgh University, and she currently lectures at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. From 2000 to 2004, she held the position of Visiting Professor at De Montfort University in Leicester. Professor Dallapiccola is a prolific author with a focus on Indian art. Some of her recent publications include "Catalogue of South Indian Paintings in the Collection of the British Museum" (2010), "The Great Platform at Vijayanagara" (2010), "Indian Painting: The Lesser Known Traditions" (2011), and "Kalamkari Temple Hangings," a study of the collection in the V&A (2015). Currently, she is engaged in two concurrent research programs in India. The first program centers on the art of the Vijayanagara successor states, while the second focuses on the Virabhadra temple at Lepakshi. Professor Anna L. Dallapiccola's work has significantly contributed to the field of Indian Art History.

Gaston's work has been instrumental in advancing our understanding of Indian wildlife, particularly in the realm of avian ecology. Anthony J Gaston has studied Indian wildlife, especially birds, since 1969, including research for his PhD (at Oxford University). He worked as a Senior Research Scientist with the Government of Canada, concentrating on the ecology of the Arctic and the Pacific-coast archipelago of Haida Gwaii. He headed the initial 1980 and 1983 Himachal Wildlife Project, consisting of international teams of scientists. He played a major role in supporting GHNP through his research.

SAINT-EXUPÉRY
Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, comte de Saint- Exupéry (1900-1944), was a French aristocrat who was known as a pioneering aviator and writer. He is best known for his novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) and for his memoir Wind, Sand and Stars. He received several of France's highest literary awards and the United States National Book Award. His plane went missing over the Mediterranean Sea in July 1944. He is believed to have passed away at that time.

Her passion for the woven magic of the land of Five Rivers, Phulkari, led Dr Anu H. Gupta to pursue her Master's in Clothing and Textiles and Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from Panjab University. She has dedicated more than two decades to training of artisans, skill and design development; and evolved in the field by participating in various national and international forums where she has presented several papers. Currently she holds the post of Assistant Professor at the University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Anuradha Ghosh holds the position of Associate Professor in English at Dinabandhu Andrews College in Kolkata. Her academic and professional journey includes working as a journalist with publications like Business Standard and Ananda Bazar Patrika after graduating from Presidency College. In 1996, she assumed her current position as an educator. Anuradha Ghosh has contributed to various publications, including: Kothay Kothay Jai (1993), a collaborative volume of Bengali poems. Bonbungalowr Nijer Jibon (2010), a collection of Bengali poems. Myths, Skyborne (2012), which features her English translations of Tariq Sujat's poetry. Memory Unfolds (2009), a monograph exploring the work of artist Samindranath Majumdar. The Great Journey of Shapes: Collages of Nandalal Bose (2015), a collaborative volume offering a close analysis of the collages created by the renowned artist Nandalal Bose. Her latest book, Hemendranath Mazumdar (2016). Besides her literary contributions, Anuradha Ghosh has a significant presence in the realms of art, aesthetics, and cultural studies. She has also played a pivotal role in shaping the English syllabus for government and semi-government schools across West Bengal while serving as the Convenor of English at The Expert Committee on School Education, West Bengal.

His second novel offers a fictionalized, candid portrayal of the financial advisory business in India, providing readers with a behind-the-scenes look at this industry.

Professor Anvita Abbi is a distinguished researcher specializing in minority languages, and she holds a unique distinction in the Indian subcontinent as the only scholar to have conducted firsthand field studies on all six language families spanning from the Himalayas to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In 2003-2004, during her academic pursuits, she made a significant linguistic breakthrough by identifying a previously unknown language family in India known as the Great Andamanese. This groundbreaking discovery was subsequently confirmed by population geneticists in 2005. Her pioneering work in the field of linguistics earned her national recognition, and she was honored with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India in 2013. Furthermore, her exceptional contributions to the documentation and description of Indian languages led to her receiving the prestigious Kenneth Hale Award from the Linguistic Society of America in 2015. She was also elected as an honorary member of the society. Professor Abbi has a remarkable academic career, having taught linguistics at Jawaharlal Nehru University for an impressive 38 years. During this period, she made significant contributions to the field of linguistics. She held the position of President of the Linguistic Society of India and was sought after as a visiting professor and researcher at esteemed institutions across the United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Her expertise was also enlisted by UNESCO, where she served as an expert on language-related matters. With a substantial body of work to her name, Professor Abbi has authored 22 books, including notable works such as the "Dictionary of the Great Andamanese Language: English-Great Andamanese-Hindi" (2011) and "A Grammar of the Great Andamanese Language: An Ethnolinguistic Study" (2013). Her extensive research and dedication to preserving and documenting minority languages have left an indelible mark on the field of linguistics and continue to inspire scholars and language enthusiasts worldwide.
